I need a new sweep that attaches to bottom of door. Door is 35" wide and 1 3/4 " thick. The old sweep has a single kerf along the middle of it and attaches via
a groove in the bottom of the door. It is made of hard plastic with 5 very flexible
fins that protrude down to meet the threshold when the door is closed. The 5 fins are very thin and flexible and fold upward when door is closed.
All replacement types found at Lowe's. Home Depot and local hardware stores that have the 5 fins are thicker and stiffer fins that overlap when closing the door. When they overlap they together are too thick to allow the door to close.
Is an original type of sweep available? IF not any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
