The cam on the white metal recoil spring I don't know if I can replace just the white metal or if I have to do the whole unit but I did buy the L piece for the window that goes into that on another window

This looks like a 15-192 Pivot Shoe. I'd just make sure the new cam matches your old one, it's a bit tough to tell from these pictures. See the video below.
