The latch which holds the window when you tilt them out to clean the windows.

Is abt 2" long and has a spring inside with a clear plastic insert over the spring. I ordered your item # 26-362 today, as it looks exactly like mine. It is called a Sash Vent Latch ?

Thanks for writing in. Based on your description, it sounds like you need a tilt latch, which is not the function of the 26-362. However, I can't be certain without seeing photos of your old hardware. From there we could make a better determination. Many thanks.
