The locking connector

Question

Our door does not have the locking part or hole. Not sure what is needed there. The latch on the works fine with the door handle, but has nothing to latch to.

The mortise lock resembles our 82-227. For a corresponding keeper, see the 89-020 or 89-021. Let me know if you have any further questions.
