Thickness of Spiral Balances

Question

I recived my spiral balances but they are thinner than the ones I a replacing, can I still use them?

Thanks for posting. What is the diameter of your original spiral balances? Is it 5/8"? And is the diameter of the ones you received 3/8"? Unfortunately this would not work as a replacement--you would likely damage your window in the process. See the video below for identifying spiral balance replacements.
