This looks like the correct channel balance.

Our vinyl window is approximately 36" x 72" single hung.

what would be the approximate sash weight so that we could order then channel balance?

Based on your stamp of 32 3, I would recommend our 3230 option. Two S385-33 balances with this option can carry a sash weight of 18 through 23 pounds. The only way to confirm that this is correct is to weigh your sash on a scale.
