This is a pivot shoe/block for a spiral balance tilt aluminum window.

Landlord from Florida
Looking for a part number for the pictured pivot shoe for a spiral balance tilt aluminum double hung window. It appears to be 3/8" thick, and just under 7/8" wide. I cannot get it out. One picture shows it by a cut-out, but I have not been able to get them out. Do you have a replacement part, and do you have ideas how I can get them out. There are no cut-outs at the tops or bottoms of the channels, just the slight one in the middle.

Also, the current spiral balances have plastic tube coverings. Do you carry those, or should I just replace with aluminum tube ones?

Thankss!

Hello, thank you for posting,

At first sight, your pivot shoe resembles the 15-045 style, but the original will need to be removed to confirm dimensions. Please see the "cutout method" video on the page for assistance with removing the shoe.

We do not have spiral balances with the plastic tubing. The aluminum version will work just as well. Please let me know if you have any additional questions!

The pivot shoe actually measures 3/8", but is thicker (protrudes out toward the center of the window where the spiral balance is placed) in the open part of the track. The width is 15/16". The length is 1 15/16", but the bottom is tapered a bit.

The pivot hole is black and 1/4" wide, 3/16" tall, with a channel in the top.

Which part number would be a replacement?

Hello,

When measuring the width, are you including the tapered out part? Seeing the shoe removed, the 15-045 should be a good fit. Please double check the measurements below and let me know what you think! The width and thickness are the main components that will need to match.
