This is my mystery storm door

Question

Purchased in 2004-5 at Home Depot. Home Depot, Emco/Andersen and Larson are all pointing fingers at each other as to who the manufacturer is.... But I have not shared the photo of the cross-section of the retainer strip with any of them yet. There are no markings or labels on the door(that I can find).

Measurements for the door I have installed are:
height 96 3/16"
width 35 1/8"
thickness 1 5/8" ?- 1 11/16" measured with calipers at eye level

Do you folks have any idea who built this thing? What I need is a new hinge strip for the 8' door.

To be honest, this could be either Emco or Larson. I can't really tell from these photos. I can tell you that most of our storm door handle sets are generic, and I'm fairly certain yours uses generic hardware, as well. That's probably why nobody you've spoken to can figure it out.

You mention a hinge strip, which makes me think this is Larson. We don't get requests for this often, but whenever we do it's for a Larson door. I can't say with 100% certainty but I think that's where I'll point my finger.

I can tell you that we do not carry the hinge strip you mentioned but you could see if you can repair it with something like our 40-165, or maybe even replace it entirely with our 40-153. See what you think.
