Can I fix this without replacing the entire handle?

Hey there. Take a look at the 82-240 Thumb Lever. I believer this should replace your old one, but compare to confirm. You may want to make sure the mortise lock in the door isn't broken and the cause of the thumb lever snapping. To find out, remove the handle set and try manually 'throwing' the lock with a slotted screwdriver. If it doesn't budge, it has to be replaced. See if the 82-238, sans the faceplate, matches what you have. Do compare.
