Handy Person from Macomb, IL

Hi Swisco,

I want to repair the locking mechanism on this old Roto White 30 x 42 Casement Window. I need to know which tie bar and tie bars to purchase from you. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Chris

Hello, Chris. I'm afraid it's not possible to identify what you have based on the provided images. It will be necessary to see the original tie bar and guides, if at all possible.

The reason being that both the length of the tie bar and, more importantly, the configuration and number of lock drive points are essential details. The only way to determine that configuration is to use the original as reference.

I have more info for you. The sticker on the window says: Roto White 30 x 42 RO Right Split Arm Operator 20140129 casement 924 complete unit. The Window has only one lock drive point and three keepers to receive the lock studs on the tie bar. I hope this helps. As I attempted to state previously, I need to know which tie bar and tie bar guides to order from Swisco. Thank you!

The configuration of those studs is what we need, to be specific. That is what we call the lock drive points. I need to know not just how many there are, but what their design is, as well. They come in multiple different varieties from cones, wheels, rivets, and more. The length of the tie bar is also essential and I am unable to determine it from the provided information.

Right now I'm afraid we just don't have enough data to go by to make a recommendation. If the old tie bar is missing then it will be very, very difficult to identify a match.
