Tilt Latch 2-1/2

Handy Person from 27613
Hi Swisco, I mistakenly bought the Rollyson 2-5/8 Tilt Latch. They arrived today. I should have measured more precisely, which is my bad. But I didn't notice any tilt latches with the Rollyson Tilt Latch dimensions, that I need, online. More specifically, the screw holes have to be 2-1/2 verses 2-5/8. Do you have Rollyson Tilt Latches with 2-1/2 screw hole dimensions or do I need to drill a new hole to accommodate the size difference? The picture I included shows the latch as almost identical excluding the screw hole center points.

Thanks for posting. Just to be safe: did you try installing the replacement latches? And are you measuring from the center of each mounting hole? This looks very close to my eye, but let me know if they're definitely not the right hole spacing and I'll see what suggestions we have.

I measured with a micrometer and the old latch is definitely 2 1/2 hole center to hole center. That's the replacement latch I need. Like I wrote, in a pinch I can drill one new hole, but it's very close to the existing hole. Better is a 2 1/2 much latch. Thanks so much. This is the model window I have.

Thanks for getting back to me. I did some research on our end, and I am afraid the 26-193 and 26-194 are our closest matches. So you would indeed have to find a way to mount them, though the proximity of the old hole would indeed make drilling a new one a bit tricky. In any case, take great care not to damage the glass if you attempt drilling. I apologize we can't offer something closer, and good luck with the repair.
