how do I unlock it

Hello,
These tilt latches disengage by pulling the finger tab toward the center of the window on both sides. If yours needs to be replaced, we'll need you to write out the exact distance between the center of the installation holes to narrow down your options. Thank you!

Hello Casey, Thanks for your responce. Yes pulling the finger tabs towards the center of the window on both sides disengages the latches, however my problem is there is a lock ( see attached photo) that must be unlocked before the finger tabs can move. I don't know how to unlock it. Would you know how to unlock it? Thank You .. Scott

It looks like the lock portion of the latch is stripped, so the latch would need to be replaced. Once we confirm your hole center spacing, we'll be able to narrow down your options.

sorry I should have shown you one that was not beat up. it is normally just a hole without any indication showing what kind of tool to unlock it with- like a philips screwdriver ect. I was hoping you would know how to open it- It has stumped my super and people at the hardware store. does it look like your hardware or any that you have seen?

If you could show us an undamaged latch and write out the hole spacing, that would help us confirm what you have and how the lock would be disengaged.
