Tilt Latch

Question

My tilt Latch is broken and i would like to know how to fix it. And what type of window this is. It was made in the 80's with the house.

Thanks for your patience during this busy season. Looks like you have an internal type tilt latch, but that's all I can tell you based on these photos. In order to identify this, we need a clear photo of it removed from the window.

For internal latches like this, the sash's top cover usually has to be removed first. They usually snap on and pry off. Try that first and see if you can get us a clear shot of the latch without obstruction.

In the meantime, see our 26-069. The front tip on yours reminds me of this, so it's a strong contender unless we see anything to the contrary.
