Tilt Latch Replacement

I ordered Part# 26-442 (Truth Tilt Latch Set) to replace a broken RH tilt latch (see attached pic). All of the dimensions on Part #26-442 were correct; with the exception of the top plate. It stated that the top plate was 2-5/8; however, it was more like 2-1/2 (see attached pic for comparison). Part# 26-442 fit the space; however, it was a tad bit too long.

I am in need of a slide-in tilt latch with a 2-5/8 top plate dimension. I think that Part# 26-244 may work. Note: Part#26-244 is also vinyl whereas Part#26-442 was metal. Please advise.
