Tilt Window Latch Replacement and Pivot lock shoe issue

Handy Person from Burke, VA
Trying to help a neighbor with a window issue attached is the photo of the broken pivot tilt latch - there are two - left and right - both are broken. Picture of left latch is attached. Also attached is the data sticker from the side of the window. There is also a problem with the pivot lock shoe on the left side - the pin will not engage and the shoe will not move with the window when raised.

Thanks for posting! I am confident we have replacement tilt latches that we can recommend to you, however, I'll need to see a photo of an undamaged latch to confirm with certainty.

I'll also need to see a better angle of your latches, it may also help to remove the latch from the window.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your timely response - below are more photo that hopefully can help identify the appropriate repair parts. Can you tell me who is the manufacture of these windows? Thank you for your help!!!

Thanks for the photos. We do not have an exact match for the tilt latches you have pictured here, however, our 26-243 and 26-244 might be worth considering as a replacement. Look over the dimensions and compare them to your existing latches to determine if these might be the right fit for you.

Based on the attachments on your balance, it appears that you have the Series 770 Channel Balance. To determine exactly, which balance you need confirm the length of the metal channel. Once you have confirmed the link, you'll be able to select it from the list of balances. Then you'll need to check the metal channel for any stamps/markings that will help you identify the stamp option you need.

If there are no stamps or it is not a match for any of those listed, you'll need to obtain the exact weight of your sash. There is a chart below the product description for the balance, at the selected length. You'll be able to select your stamp based on the weight ranges shown.

Your shoe appears to be the 15-178, however, you will need to remove the shoe from the window to confirm.
