Tilt Window Spiral Balance

A home owner from Marlton, NJ says:

My windows were installed about 20 years ago by Sears. They are Survivor brand tilt windows and I understand that Survivor went out of business quite a while ago. I need 6 tilt window spiral balance parts for 3 windows. There is no red, blue or other tip on them, but I measured the diameter of the casing and it is 3/8" and the length of the housing is 17". I believe that it is a S900-17. There is a marking on the casing of the part that says FSB 1. Not sure if that helps. The window sash is 12 lbs. can you help me to verify the correct part based on the info and photos that I provided? Once I hear from you I will order the parts through your website. Thank you!

Hello, Gayle. Thank you for your patience during this busy season.

This looks like a pretty typical spiral balance, so as long as the diameter of the tube is is 3/8" then our S900-17 should work perfectly fine.

That marking doesn't tell me anything, but if the sash is 12 pounds then you can use our Blue Tip color option. You can see a chart on the S900-17 store page that shows you exactly how much weight each option supports.
