Tilt latch replacement

Quick Learner from Minnesota
Hello - I am looking to replace both tilt latches on my window. Not sure of the window brand - can't find any identifying information but previous owner stated they had purchased Anderson windows when we bought the house.

Attached are pictures. The dimensions are 2 5/8 x 3x4 x 1/2.

Thanks!

Hello,

I would recommend starting by comparing the specifications of the 26-243 and 26-244 to an undamaged tilt latch. We'll include the dimensions from our product page below. Take a look and thanks for posting!

Wonderful - thanks! The dimensions look right but, in looking at the undamaged latch, I noticed the latch portion is curved (picture attaches) for the windows I have but the replacement you have has a straight edge for the latch. Is that a problem or will the replacements you have still work?

Thanks,

Jason

Unfortunately, we do not carry tilt latches with a curved tooth like yours. The curve is often there to accommodate the spiral balance tube that runs the length of the window jamb. We've had some customers report that this was a problem when using the 26-243 and 26-244, while others have said it was fine. In either case, these would be our best replacement options at this time. If you deice to give them a try and run into any problems, our return policy can be found here.

I just wanted to circle back to say thank you for the help. I did end up buying the pair you suggested and they work great.

Thanks again,

Jason
