Tilt sash pivot pin

Home Owner from Mastic Beach, NY
Good Afternoon,
It appears that the right side tilt sash pivot pin may be missing on my window. It is a US Window factory: Series: Double Hung Window, Type: VSDH, Code: USW - K- 4. The shoe looks like it is intact in the photo. Can you help with this? It looks like if the part is available, it can just be slid right into the window and then engaged in the shoe. Thank you.

Hi there- thanks so much for posting!

I can't tell exactly what your pivot pin is without seeing the original. Are both sides missing? Do you by any chance have have an identical window that uses the same hardware? We will need to see some photos of the pin removed from the window to be sure about what replacement to recommend.

The other pin is not broken. There is a plastic part, possibly a rail, that runs the length of the bottom of the window and is somehow snapped in over the tops of the pivot pins. Would you know how to remove the plastic part to be able to unscrew the pivot pins?

Take a look at our 26-241 and compare our dimensions to yours.

To remove the pivot bar from your sash, you would need to unscrew the two screws and pull it out of the sash.
