Tilt window Spiral balance hardware

Red tip,5/8", 29 inches long

Does this look like a series 600 balance? How do I tell if it needs to be tightened or replaced?

Thanks for reaching out to us. The window not staying up is indicative of the balance needing to be replaced. The tube does look to be on the thicker side like the Series 600. If the tube diameter is 5/8", the Series 600 would be what you want.

If you need a new pivot shoe, we'll need to see an undamaged one removed from the window along with the written-out thickness and width dimensions.
