Tilt window coil spring Balance replacement needed

Home Owner from Ocala, Fl
The coil spring balance has no indentifiable markings, but is 1/2 inch wide, and two spring balances are required, one on each side for the window to operate properly.

Thank you for the photo. Your coil spring looks very close to our Series 190. Have a look and see if you agree. Since you mentioned that your coil doesn't have any markings on it, we will need for you to get back to us with the exact weight of your sash.

Thanks for your response. After a second closer look, there is a faint stamping of 732 it looks like, (see photo), which would be more like the 740 in the Series 190. Unfortunately, I cannot determine the weight of the sash, save and except that two springs are needed. One on each side of the vinyl window Sash.

Thank you for the additional information. When it comes to coil springs, if there is a number that is not identifiable with that Series coil, we can't assume it's safe to just round up. The S190-740 accommodates a sash weighing 7 pounds, meaning one on each side will hold up a sash weighing 14 pounds. I would not recommend that as being the exact part number you need without knowing the exact weight of your sash. The only way we can provide a proper replacement option would be knowing the weight of the sash. Once we have that information, I am confident we can recommend the correct Series coil you need.

Good Afternoon:

The weight of the Window Shash is 14lbs., requiring two coil spring balances, one on each side.

Ok great. Then you can go with the S190-740 coil spring.
