Tilt window latch

A quick learner from Centennial, CO says:
My windows are 1999 Amerimax windows and the tilt window latches are brittle and breaking. I purchased latches from Amazon and had to Dremel-off side nobs and the piston in order for it to come close to fitting. Today, my window company (Beyers, Centennial, CO) gave me several latches that were closer, but the piston still needed modification in order to fit. The attached photo shows the new latches from Beyers, and an old latch. Notice the width of the piston.

The "slim top tilt latch" looks like the right piston, and product code 26-442 looks close to the correct measurement except for the depth (5/16"). My latch is: 2 5/8" x 11/16" x 6/16".

I don't believe the 26-442 will work for you. Refer instead to our 26-244 and 26-243. I think these would be better options, however you should make sure that the bottom lock tooth has the same position. If you look at the diagram below, you'll see that our bottom lock tooth is 3/16" from the edge of the housing.
