Tilt window lifter things

Handy Person from Carlsbad
These are from a tilt window, they are the hardware that holds the window up when you open it. They have no resistance anymore and the window just falls down. I need two new ones. They are 28 inches long when closed. The window is probably about 25 lbs.

It says HQB and then a long space and a 1. It's for a tilt window. 28 inches long.

Hello,

Take a look at the (3/8") S900-28 and (5/8") S600-28 spiral balances for tilt windows. The determining factor would be the diameter of the metal housing tube. The product pages include a diagram showing the weight ranges supported by each color option. Thanks for posting.

Using a caliper, I have determined the diameter to be 3/8th of an inch.

In that case, see the S900-28 spiral balances. There's a chart under the product description that shows the color tip option that you'll need based on the weight of the sash that the balances support. Thank you!
