Tilt window side bar??

Question

I'm not sure what this part is called but the silver bar stays in the up position. In the windows that work you only see a string.
I'm trying to repair the window myself.

This part is called a channel balance. We sell a ton of different kinds, but I can't tell what you have based on this photo alone. In order to help, I'll need you to remove an undamaged version from the window and show me a clear picture of the top end, bottom end, stamp, and whatever clip, shoe, hook, or attachment is at the end of the cord.
