Tilt window spiral balance

A home owner from Michigan says:

Double-hung tilt windows...when I wipe away the grease, the tip looks grey. Is there a balance with a grey tip or are they really white tips due to being 15 years old? They are 35 inches long and 3/8 diameter. Thanks for looking into my balance dilemma. I looked at the other grommet and it was GREEN!

Based on your spiral balance being 3/8" in thickness and for a tilt window, that leads me to believe you have our Series 900 balance. Just confirm that while determining the length, you are only including the metal channel in that measurement. You said you have a green tip on your balance, which will be the option that you select at checkout. That corresponds with the weight of your sash.
