A home owner from Charlotte/NC says:
I am looking for a 6 window balance set with the following dimensions:
- channel length: 25 inch
- depth/height: 1/2 inch
- width: 15 mm (sorry for the metric)
- weight window: approx. 16-20 lbs

Pictures attached

There is stamp on the balance: 24C

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. Our Series 770 is my pick but note that this installs with a screw. Can you confirm how your balance installs?

Based on this 24C stamp, your metal channel should measure 24". You may want to double-check this just to be safe!

If it is indeed 24", we will need to know the precise weight of the sash to determine the proper strength calibration. I'm afraid estimates won't suffice.

A home owner from Charlotte/NC says:
Thanks for coming back.
The weight of the sash is 18.5 lbs
The balance does not have a screw, it is pushed in and on the top is a metal clamp (see pics attached).
I measured the channel and it does measure 25 inch and not 24inch.

Great, thanks for confirming! This is a huge help. I'm familiar with the configuration shown here. It's not something we stock but we can still help via custom order. To outline it for you, we will use the S770-25 and install a rivet in the top hole and second hole so that it can use an S-clip like the 19-030 or 19-029. 25C is the stamp we would use. A pair of balances with this stamp can support a sash weighing 17 to 22 pounds.

What I will do now is email you a purchase link for (6) that you can use to place an order on our website. Please note, the 19-030 and 19-029 clips are sold separately so don't forget to add the needed quantity to your cart.

A home owner from Charlotte/NC says:
Thanks Emily, you are so helpful.

Our handyman left a mess behind. What I realized is that only 2 of the balances need to be replaced. But what is broken or bent are the pivot locks (4) and Pivot bars (4 pcs)
I attach the photos of these types.
Can you then update the quote for:
- 2x balances
- 6x Long S-clip (19-030)
- 4x pivot locks
- 4x pivot bars

I'm happy to help!

I'll just need a bit more information to help ID this pivot shoe and pivot bar. For the pivot shoe, can you write out the thickness and width dimensions? As for the pivot bar, can you show us a full view of it so that we can get a look at the installation holes?

Thank you!

Emily from SWISCO responded:

Thank you kindly for getting back to me. Your pivot shoe reminds me of our 15-188 which is 1/2" thick and 1-1/4" wide. It looks like yours may be a little thicker than ours so you may want to double-check just to be safe! As for the pivot bar, see if the specifications of the 26-402 match what you need.

A home owner from Charlotte/NC says:
Emily:
I think this should work for both the Pivot Shoe and the Bar.
So I like to order:

Can you then update the quote for:
- 2x balances
- 6x Long S-clip ( 19-030 )
- 4x pivot locks 15-188
- 4x pivot bars 26-402

Many Thanks

Great! I will email you a new purchase link for (2) balances. However, I'm afraid the other parts can't be added to this link so don't forget to add them to your cart separately!
