Tilting double hung window part

A home owner from Florida says:
This broke from the top of my bottom panel of our double hung window. I have no idea what it's called but the window tilts when this part is pulled in

Thanks for writing in. This tilt latch is unfamiliar to me I am afraid. Can you show me how it installs into the window? Can you also give us some dimensions like its length and width? We'll see what we have from there. Thanks.

A home owner from Florida says:
Thanks for replying. Here's a pic of the side that isn't broken and still has it in there. It's a little bit bigger then half an inch wide. Feels like just cheap plastic. The pivot bar broke off also. It's a newer window from 84 lumber but cannot find the brand anywhere

I am afraid we don't have a replacement for this internal latch. See if you could convert to surface-mount tilt latches like the 26-228 and 26-229. The video below shows how.
