Tilting window spiral balance help please

Question

Hello,
The top part of the window keeps slipping down. Does that mean I should replace the spiral balances?
Tilting window spiral balance, window dimensions 23 1/2 " ht x 30 1/2 " width. Pictures attached

Hello,

If the sash is not staying up, that indicates that the spiral balances need to be replaced. Your balance resembles the (3/8") S900 or (5/8") S600, depending on the diameter and length of the spiral balance housing tube.
