Spiral Balance Tip Color

Question

Hello,
I am looking at the Series 900 Spiral Balance and I need to know what color tip you would recommend.

- window sash weights 18 lbs,
- the spiral balance is 3/8 in and its 28inches long.

Thanks for your question, James. For an 18 pound window and an S900-28, either a red or green tip will work. I would recommend the green tip, since 18 is on the higher side of the weight range for a red tip, whereas it is comfortably in the middle of the green tip range.
