Thanks for posting! Yes, a 29" tube translates to a 29" long spiral balance in our catalog.
Now, as you can see, the S900-29 has two tip color options: Red and Green. The Red Tip can carry a window sash weight range of 10 through 22 pounds, while the Green Tip can carry 14 through 26 pounds. Does your sash weight fall within either of these ranges?
Please keep in mind that the weight range information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate.

Hi, I'm tuning-up a tilt-out window (the pivot shoes are broken) and figure I should replace the spiral balances while I'm in there. Mine have no color - how do I choose the correct spiral balance from your line??
The window is 30" high X 34" wide -
The tubes on spiral balances I removed measure 29" (w/o the metal end of the spiral sticking-out) I presume these are 29" tubes - correct??

Honestly, either one will work just as well. It's a matter of your own preference. While the green is more heavy-duty, I don't think there will be a significant difference in operation.

My sash weighs-in at 18# so it falls within either color range, do you recommend I select the heavier-duty green of go red??
