Andersen replacement window balances

Question

I installed original construction anderson double hung windows around 20 years ago they have vinyl sashes and wood windows
I need to replace the balances do i have to remove the top sash to get the numbers on the balances unit or can you tell me what they are

Hey, Tom. I can make an educated guess as to what Andersen balance you need based on your window size, but please keep in mind that I cannot guarantee that this is accurate. The best way to determine a match for your Andersen balance is to remove it from the window and tell us what each number printed on the balance box reads. That said, based on your sash size, see our 24-531. This may be what you want, but I cannot be sure.
