Top hinge

Does the 79-123 top hinge have the spring loaded pin?

The top hinge on my door has a spring loaded pin that is no longer working. When the pin gets pressed down it does not pop back up, have to use pliers to pull it back up.

Looking at your photos, I believe that the problem is in the bottom pivot. You have a large gap at the top header of the door. There are two adjustments in the bottom pivot to raise it up. First, remove the cap on the bottom pivot attached to the door. With that cap removed, you can access the hex allan adjustment screw. Turning it clockwise, it should raise up the door. If that fails, then you will need to use am open end wrench and turn the threshold pivot to raise the door. Use plenty of spray lubricant like WD-40. If you do need to replace the pivot set, our 79-123 does have a top spring loaded pivot pin. This may be a good match.
