Top sash guide with a tongue up front

Quick Learner
I am wondering if the tongue on the one I have is important? But also wondering if these cams are designed to work with a specific channel balance? I have a 3240 or 32-4 33"x1/2". I think it is your balance, would other pictures help? Also, the plastic part is very close, but it is missing what appears to be an important design feature, a tongue from the upper square.

Hello,

With this combination of attachments, you could have either the S380-33 or S385-33 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment. You'll also need 3240 spring strength options for your replacement balances.

Unforutnately, we do not carry an exact match for the top sash guide shown in your photos. The 18-166 comes to mind but the top would need to be shaved down to install it. We can't make any guarantees but review the dimensions below to see how they compare to the original guide. Thank you.

Hi - Don't the channel balance and the sash guide match? So I installed the channel balance provided in pics, and wondering if there is a sash guide that matches it? Or is each sash guide made for a specific window?

Unforutnately, your balances are not designed to work with one specific top sash guide. It really just depends on the combination the window manufacturer decides will work best for the window's specifications. This is why we recommend replacements for these parts based on the configuration and dimensions of the original hardware.
