Trick for removing weatherstripping

The weather stripping in my vinyl windows is not easily removed using the technique shown in this video.It appears to be captured somehow. Any thoughts as to how I can remove the old stripping?

I need to replace some wool pile weather stripping in my vinyl Kohler windows I have found the correct weather stripping on your site and viewed a how-to video as well. I tried to remove the old weather stripping and it does not easily pull out of the window channel. Is there a trick to removing the stripping?

Thank you for your patience during this busy season. I'm not sure what kind of weatherstripping you have, which is a major factor in how it's removed. Is it wool pile? If so, it should just slide out from an opening at of the end of the channel.
Some windows have that opening welded close, though. If that's the case, you'll have to manually cut a little slot.
