I am attempting to fully replace the casement and hinge indicated in the pictures. What is shown currently installed is for the sister window that hinges left, whereas the parts I need are for the window that hinges right. The parts that are proving to be difficult are the track and associated hinges, as I believe the crank head appears to be 39-090 while I know for a fact that the hinge is NOT 36-048 which is the only part that seems to connect to 39-090.
The original parts appear to be Truth branded with the following part numbers:
(Referencing the picture with the parts on a table next to a tape measure from top to bottom)
Casement Crank -- Part#: 30866, Approx 3 3/4" from center of gear to end of first metal rod, 5" for second metal rod
Hinge (partially missing and broken) -- Part#: 40672, 7 13/16" long, 11/16" wide
Track -- No Part#, 10 1/2" long, 23/32" wide, 1/4" deep channel groove
Bracket (originally attached to the very end of the arm for the Casement Crank) -- Part#: 31639, 2 3/8" wide, 1 1/32" high at wide end, 9/16" high at narrower end
Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for reaching out to us. The 36-048 definitely isn't the same as your original hinge, but it will still work. The catch is that you have to replace the top and bottom hinge at the same time. You can't mix old and new hinges in the same window, but if you swap them both out then the operation of the sash will be symmetrical and you won't notice the difference. I think this is your best option. |
