Sounds like you need a new operator. I recommend looking at our 39-031 and 39-032 to start with. Review the dimensions we show on their respective store pages to confirm that everything matches.

Thanks, I think the 39-031 is the one I need. Before I order, My inspector is now telling me I need to install WOCD (Window Open Control Device) which limits the sash to 4". Is there such a device for this type of operator?

As a matter of fact, I think I know just what they mean. See our 39-398 and 39-398SS, respectively. These are little arms you mount to the sill that connect to the sash and prevent it from opening by a certain degree. The video below will go into more detail.
