Bob from SWISCO responded:

Thanks for writing in. Start by looking at our 39-379. Compare to your old skylight operator and see if this might work for you. If not, please send us some detailed photos and measurements of your current part, and we'd be happy to research it for you. Just let us know.

A quick learner from Volcano, Calif. 95689 says:

The skylight operator won't open up the skylight. It is stuck shut. I would like to replace it with .the same exact operator Part no. 40966. Do you have them in stock, or do you have to order one ? Either way, I need one ASAP. Could you please send the information needed to purchase one? Thank you very much, Melissa

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Hello, Melissa. I'm sorry to say that I couldn't cross-reference that code to anything in our records. At this stage I don't know what you have.

That being said, we only sell one skylight operator anyway: our 39-379. Your first step should be to carefully review our specs with this part to see if they match up to your original. If they do, then you could reasonably use it as a replacement.
