Replacement wheels for this mid-50's glass slider

A handy person from Pasadena, CA says:
Hi there. My mid-50s slider is suffering and in need of new wheels. I've searched the internet for photos of the same wheels, but no luck. The one identifying name is on the inside, but it's missing some letters so I'm not sure what the word actually is. The height adjustment on this door has to be done by removing the door, removing the wheels, and then adjusting two screws inside the lower frame that serve to lift and/or lower one side of the wheel assembly while the opposite side of the assembly remains screwed onto the frame. The wheel assembly dimensions are 4" long, 1-11/16ths tall, and 11/16ths wide. Hoping you can point me in the right direction on this project. Thank you! Ovie

Hello,

I'm going to have one of our senior experts take a look and see if they could recommend a replacement for your roller. We'll reach out as soon as more information is available. Thank you!

Unfortunately, I don't believe that your roller is still available. If you want to keep the same housing, you might be able to use either the 81-266 or 81-272 roller and axle kits to repair it.

However, you said that the door must be removed to adjust the door. I find that very time-consuming and a lot of work. Take a look at the 81-023 roller, along with the related videos and information. I have used this roller in the past for a patio door similar to yours where only the roller at the back of the door could be adjusted and the front roller was stationary. This might be a better option. Also, look at the 81-002 roller to see if the dimensions are closer to yours. Thanks for posting!
