Trying to identify a channel balance : SWISCO.com

This is a 29" channel balance. The only number I could find on it is 2850.

Forgot to mention that it is 1/2" wide

Hey there. It looks like you have either the S351-29 or S390-29 Channel Balance, depending on the shoe depth. See below. For a stamp option choose 2850.

An I measuring straight across or from the back to the tip?

You want to measure straight across, from one end to the other. You need to get the entire depth. Basically, what this measurement determines is how the balance is braced between the track and the sash. It needs a firm fit without being too large.

Looking at your photos, I think the Series 390 is a winner. The depth is definitely more than 1".
