My lock lever broke. I bought a Swisco 82-240 lever but it doesn't fit my door.
A Swisco agent told me my handle set looks like a combination of different handles and locks. What does that mean? My handle screws are 4 inches apart. The outside is keyed.
How can I get my lock back?

Thanks for reaching out to us. Have a look at the 82-238 mortise lock. Your lock looks similar to this one which goes with the 82-080 and 82-081 handle sets with the 4-15/16" hole centers.
However, your handle looks more like the 82-030 which goes with a different style mortise lock than the 82-238. You may want to remove your existing handle from the door to see if there is another set of mounting holes that match the 4-15/16" hole centers of the 82-080 handle. I suspect whoever repaired this door before improvised with whatever parts they had on hand.
