Operator moves well except final closing motion, the tang on the arm and the catch at the end of the hardware piece mounted on the window collide. There is a fair bit of play in the operator, seemingly around the rivet on which the main crank gear pivots. There is also several mm of vertical play in the main window hinge.
Can you suggest replacement crank mechanism and other hardware for my repair without doing lots of carpentry rework?
Many thanks and keep well.

Sure, it sounds like you just need a new operator. I recommend our 39-175. This is a genuine Pella part that looks very similar to your original hardware. You should be able to reuse your old cover and handle.
