Unique 26-C-30 spring replacement

A home owner from North Port, Florida says:
Looking from inside home, this part is from the left side of the window. Appears the spring broke. I would need a replacement spring and a diagram of how it is installed. Also, would I need to remove the window to effect this replacement?

I'm afraid these springs are not able to be replaced by themselves. You will need a new balance. Based on your pictures, I think our S389-27 could be what you need. You may also want the 2630 option for that, but you should weigh your sash just to confirm that this is correct.
