Unique Balance

Thanks for reaching out to us. We may be able to help with this but we'll need more information. Can you remove an undamaged balance? We'd like to see photos of the top and bottom fittings at either end of the balance. 

Your balance should have a bottom fitting at the other end of the balance. It appears yours is missing or has broken off. That's an important detail so we'll need to see an intact shoe to ID your balance. Let us know if that'd be possible. 

Is there an identical window in the house? If so, you can use the balance from that window as a reference. It'd also be helpful to see any other attachments the balance uses. 

If not, I'm afraid we won't be able to ID your balance. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. 

If the balance shown here is original to the window, I'd recommend the Series 351 or Series 390 depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. You'll want to measure only the metal channel to determine the length. If it's 28" long, you may need the 2750 stamp option. A pair of balances with this stamp will support a sash weighing 26 to 30 pounds but you can always weigh the window sash to confirm it falls within this range.
