I need some replacement Window Balance hardware. The old ones have printed on ID of (10/2) Unique 27/E/50.
Research tells me Unique are no longer in Business. The sash is Single Hung Tilt and weighs 30 lbs. The existing balance is exactly 28 inches long. Can you tell me what I need to order? I am thinking it's a good idea to replace both on each window and install new Pivot Lock Screws too.

Start by looking at our S770-28 channel balance for tilt windows. I think you'll find this matches quite well. I would also recommend a 28E option, which should be perfect for your 30 pound sash weight. Let me know what you think. It's definitely a good idea to replace both balances at the same time.
