Hello, John. Unfortunately, that won't be possible. Your door was only made to work with this specific type of lockset. No conversion is possible, since after you remove the original there will be a huge hole left in your door. Even if you patch that hole, your door still doesn't have the space for the mortise lock necessary for something like the 82-087 to work. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news. As long as you have this door, you are more or less stuck with the style of lock you have now. |
