Valances for 5 windows

Hello,

I will be repairing a min. of 5 windows (all the same size). As per our conversation, I have attached pictures of my damaged channel balance. Can you direct me to the correct replacement part?

Hey John. I believe this is either an S380-30 or S385-30 Channel Balance. The only difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, or the 'heel-to-toe' measurement, so compare both with your old hardware to see what matches best. See the picture below for reference. In either case, for a new stamp option choose 2930.

Okay, So I need S380-30 my bottom nylon shoe measure 1".
Can you tell me what is new stamp option 2930 refers too?

Hey John. The stamp option designates the strength of the balance, or basically the weight range it is designed to support. Your old balance had a stamp of 29-3, which corroborates with our stamp of 2930. This designates a balance that can support a window sash in the weight range of 16 through 23 pounds. I hope this makes sense. And yes, if the shoe is 1" deep, then you need the S380-30 (with that 2930 stamp option). Let me know if you have any other questions!
