Verify Correcty Replacement Part

Question

I followed your directions to remove a single hung tilt window and it was perfect. I have a 3/8 diameter 27 in long white tip counter balance. I weighed my window and it was 14 lbs.

Your info shows it being a 900 series counter balance. You only show red as being available. Is the red tip a direct replacement for a white tip model? Want to be sure before I order parts. I know I will be replacing at least 6 balance rods.

The red tip may work for you, yes, but I cannot say for sure. You should weigh your window sash just to be sure. Two S900-27 spiral balances with Red Tips can support a window sash weight range of 10 through 22 pounds. Does your sash's weight fall within that range? If not, we can work on something better suited to your window.
