Vertical window won't stay up, locking mechanism broke

Hello I have a vertical aluminum window that won't stay up, I have to use a stack to prop it open. The house was built in 1955. The piece broke off when I tried to open it up because it was shut closed for a long time. Please help. Thanks.

The part shown in your first photo resembles the 15-209 balance bracket. Take a look and compare the specifications below to yours. Thanks for posting!
