Viking window latch

Home Owner from Oregon
The hook broke off because the window wasn't properly aligned. Would very much like to leave the part that it hooks into in place, as it's a tight fit already. Holes look to be about 2 1/16" apart, maybe very slightly more. Numbers on back: 8300-02 and then 2 8303 on the hook itself. Thanks so much!

Thanks for posting. To start, take a look at our 90-278. This has a hole spacing of 2-1/16". Compare the offset dimension as well to your old part, and see if you think this could work you.

For anyone else Googling this, I successfully replaced a Viking 8300-02 (with 8303-03 on the hook cam) with the 90-278.
I re-used the original keeper, because the 90-278 keeper mounts with a 90 degree rotation relative to the original.
Note also the latch operation of the 90-278 is opposite the original: ie if the original "open" position is up, the 90-278 open position is down.
Other that that it's a great fit. The die casting and cam are very similar.
