Vinyl Window Pivot Bar

Home Owner from Newark, OH 43055

I recently purchased 4 pivot bars, your part number 26-366 which are almost the same as the parts I need to replace. But on closer examination I realize there is as difference the might cause a problem.

If you provide your email address I can send you pictures showing the difference and hopefully you have another part more identical to what I need.

Thanks for your help with this.

Sure thing. Our email address is help@swisco.com. Just be sure to include your reference number as well, D155874. Thank you.

The darker one is your part 26-366. My concern is that it is about 1/8th inch shorter where it engages the counter balance. This end is also flared. The flare may not be necessary but I think the length needs to be right.

Thanks and let me know what you find.

I see what you mean. The tip of your pivot bar is definitely different than ours. I've actually seen your version before, but it's unfortunately not made anymore.

The 26-366 may still work for you, but it would require drilling new holes in your sash so that you can adjust it forward. That would make up the difference. I know this isn't an ideal solution, but we've done it in the past and we believe it will work well.

As for the flare, that could be an issue. Before you drill new holes, I'd like to see a photo of the pivot shoe into which this bar inserts. That will allow us to confirm whether or not those flares come into play at all, or if you could get away with the flat tip of our 26-366.
