Vinyl Window Replacement balances

Current Riverdale double hung Vinyl window balances are breaking. Consist of spring, string and unique shoe. Looking to replace entire mechanism. Channel width 1 and 9/16, inside 1 and 1/4 depth 5/8". Windows 28 and 20 inch double hung.

I would like to replace hardware in 12 windows.

Thank you for reaching out to us. You may want to begin by taking a look Series 860 channel balance. Let us know if this could work as a replacement for you.

Is there any chance of using a more advanced mechanism?

An easier balance system you can use is our S795-26, which uses a 1-1/4" wide T-Lock shoe. We would need you to weigh the sliding window sash to determine the correct spring weight. See our related video on installation, as well. You can find that on the right side of the page.
